As part of this unveiling, Ford is also introducing its new, global Ford Performance branding, designed to simplify and modernize its look. This branding will be incorporated across all Ford racing vehicles and various environments such as merchandise, display assets, parts/accessories, and advertising, aligning Ford Performance as an exciting lifestyle brand with a sports-focused attitude.

“Ford and Le Mans share a rich history,” CEO of Ford Motor Company Jim Farley expressed. “This return to the most pivotal race in the world marks the start of a global motorsports venture with Mustang, similar to our initiatives with Bronco and Raptor off-road.”

For this project, Ford Performance continues its relationships with two of its long-standing partners, Multimatic and M-Sport. The latter, Ford’s longtime World Rally Championship partner, will assemble the powerful 5.4-liter Coyote-based V8 engines. Meanwhile, Multimatic, the people behind the legendary Ford GT, will assist in the construction and support of the Mustang GT3s.

The new race car is equipped with a distinctive short-long arm suspension, a rear-mounted transaxle gearbox, carbon fibre body panels, and an exclusive aerodynamic package tailored to GT3 standards. It will certainly be spectacular to watch and hear on any racetrack.
