If your idea of off-road is off-off-road, Ford’s got you covered. The company has announced the new 2022 Bronco Everglades, a special-edition trim that includes a factory-installed snorkel and winch.
The catch is that if you want one, you already have to be in line. The Everglades will arrive in the summer of 2022, but only for those who have already reserved a Bronco and are waiting on it. Those who are can switch up their orders to an Everglades starting in March. In Canada, pricing will be announced closer to the order date.
Available strictly in four-door configuration, the Everglades uses the turbocharged 2.3L four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, making 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque, with ten-speed automatic transmission and advanced 4×4 system with automatic on-demand mode.

The trim’s unique features include a snorkel with a reversible air vent, for use in water, dust, or snow; a heavy-duty modular front bumper with integrated 10,000-pound Warn winch with 30-metre (100-foot) synthetic line; and wide, squared-off wheel arches.
It also includes a safari bar, rock rails, and steel bash plates from the Black Diamond and Badlands Bronco models; a Sasquatch Package including 17-inch wheels with 35-inch Goodyear mud-terrain tires; and colour-matching hardtop with roof rack and crossbars.

The snorkel, designed and engineered by Ford, is on the passenger-side pillar, where it grabs clean air if you’re driving through heavy dust or water. The inlet direction can be changed by swapping two plates in it. The Everglades trim is also optimized for water fording, and can tackle up to 92 cm (36.4 inches).
Inside, the Everglades includes rubberized flooring and vinyl seats for easy cleaning. It will come in five exterior colours including exclusive Desert Sand, and with an Everglades topography decal on the front fenders.
