The Denver Nuggets cruised to an NBA title earlier this summer with relative ease.
No opponent won more than two games against the Nuggets – who dropped just four total games en route to the title. But which opponent gave the Nuggets the toughest fight?
According to Bruce Brown it was the Minnesota Timberwolves.
“I’d say our toughest series was Minnesota,” Brown said. “Suns were blowouts each game. With the Lakers, we never felt like we were gonna lose any game. Even when they went on a little run, it never felt like we were gonna lose.”

Brown and the Nuggets dispatched the Timberwolves in just five games, but all but one of those games was decided by fewer than 10 points.
After defeating Minnesota, Denver dispatched the Phoenix Suns in six games before sweeping LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.
