With the addition of Ollie, the Nets get a man with years of NBA playing experience and some championship pedigree. The former Huskies standout spent more than a decade in the league before taking over for Jim Calhoun in 2010. In 2014, he led his alma mater to an NCAA Tournament title.
The Nets fired head coach Steve Nash early in the 2022-23 season after the team got off to a 2-5 start. First-year head coach Jacque Vaughn took over for the remainder of the season. Ollie now joins an assistant staff featuring Royal Ivey, Ryan Forehan-Kelly, Adam Caporn and Trevor Hendry.
