Four CSK players join Major League Cricket side Texas Super Kings

The Texas Super Kings are going to be a part of the MLC which starts from July 14 in the United States. The inaugural season will have six franchises, three of which have IPL-based owners.

Texas Super Kings (TSK), who are a sister franchise of current IPL Champions CSK, have snapped up four players from the current CSK roster for the inaugural MLC season.

Former India batter Ambati Rayudu, who retired from IPL recently, has joined the Texas Super Kings. The veteran hung up his boots from the IPL after CSK’s 5th title win against Gujarat Titans on May 29 at the Narendra Modi stadium.

Apart from Rayudu, TSK have also roped in three other CSK players, namely Dwayne Bravo, Devon Conway and Mitchell Santner.

Bravo, the former West Indies all-rounder retired from IPL and worked as a bowling coach for CSK this season. Devon Conway was a massive part of CSK’w success story this year as the southpaw scored 672 runs for them.

South African batter David Miller, young Protea bowler Gerald Coetzee and Australian all-rounder Daniel Sams are also going to be a part of the TSK side for the first season.

Former Pakistan international Sami Aslam, former South Africa player Rusty Theron, Zia Shahzad, Calvin Savage, Cody Chetty, Cameron Stevenson are among the other players who will be part of the Texas Super Kings in the inaugural season.


TSK will play the first match of the season against the Los Angeles Knight Riders on July 14 (July 13 in USA time) at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas.
