Matthew said homeowners should “consider opening the windows for a cool breeze”, but “if the temperature outside is too low for you, consider investing in a dehumidifier”.
“By removing extra moisture from the air, it [a dehumidifier] will aid in hastening the drying of your clothing,” the expert added.
Another tip Matthew shared was doing laundry regularly, as opposed to bulk washing one day a week.
He explained: “It is often tempting to let washing pile up and wash everything at once to save time, but overloading a washing machine can make the clothing wetter after the cycle is complete, making drying time longer and increasing the amount of moisture in the air.
