Lampard, 43, landed his first managerial role at Derby in 2018 following his retirement just two years prior.
He did an incredible job at Pride Park, entering the play-offs and only losing narrowly to Aston Villa in the final at Wembley.
His exploits earned him the Chelsea job, returning to Stamford Bridge after a five-year hiatus and impressed in his first season as boss as he sealed Champions League qualification.
Yet after topping the league at the start of December 2020, Lampard quickly plummeted as far as eighth in the league table before his dismissal was confirmed just three weeks into the new year.
It remained to be seen where he would take his next role, having been linked with the Crystal Palace, Rangers and Aston Villa jobs in recent months.
