The Karisma Gourmet Inclusive Experience includes innovative new restaurant concepts featuring fresh and local ingredients. Nickelodeon’s six gourmet restaurants have Chef-driven menus and they cater to any type of food allergy or dietary restriction. My son and I had no problem finding vegan options and the talented Chefs were happy to prepare creative plant-based meals. We started our mornings at Le Spatula (Named in honor of SpongeBob’s iconic spatula) with yummy pancakes or waffles and soy milk smoothies packed with local fruit and fresh berries. There are special booths to watch episodes of SpongeBob as you dine and a huge breakfast buffet packed with your all your favorites.

Other restaurants include Nick Bistro; Snick Lounge (a 90s-inspired nostalgic space); Yacht Club (menus inspired by the Chefs’ travels around the world) where we enjoyed cauliflower steaks with chickpeas and greens; and Bikini Bottom Bar & Gourmet Corner (inspired by SpongeBob’s hometown, it has a laid-back contemporary beachside vibe). It’s here we met other guests that were so interested in our special meal they ordered the same thing – fully loaded vegan bean burritos with fresh guacamole.

We loved Piazza Restaurant so much we went back multiple times. From see-through pizza ovens to impressive Italian inspired décor, the highlight is the food, as it should be. I devoured my made to order pizza with tofu and loaded with greenhouse veggies and my son discovered peanut butter and jam pizza – life may never be the same again.

Get your autograph books and cameras ready for a meet and greet with your favorite Nickelodeon characters. At any given time you will spot famous friends strolling through the resort such as Dora and Boots from Dora the Explorer; Skye from PAW Patrol; Blue from Blue’s Clues & You; Diego from Go, Diego; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; and of course SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and Squidward from SpongeBob SquarePants – adored by kids and kids at heart. To meet a specific character, download the Karisma app and under the entertainment schedule it lists where characters will be daily. Wait times are short and staff keeps everything flowing and organized. Kind employees are happy to take photos and videos to remember the moment. To the embarrassment of my son, I danced with SpongeBob and have proof.

Slip And Slide At Aqua Nick

There is a massive water complex where guests have complimentary unlimited access to six acres of adrenaline pumping splashing action at North America’s first-ever Aqua Nick.

The wild thrills include towering water slides such as Bowl Blaster Hero Half Pipe (inner tube slides); multiple body slides such as The Big Plunge and Tubular Twist; mat racers slides; and Paw Patrol Adventure Bay with slides for younger members of your group. There is also a fun pool with scheduled water activities and a sandy area for kids to play.

We loved the winding Lazy River and kept laughing because it was anything but “lazy” as we got soaked zooming along on our tubes. I later realized we must have been on the adventure section of the river! You can easily spend the greater part of a day at Aqua Nick. There is towel service, beach chairs, and when you get hungry there are several kiosks serving delicious food on site such as Aqua Bite with healthy poke bowls that we loved.

Located at Aqua Nick, make reservations in advance for Nickelodeon personal sliming with your family or simply show up for a scheduled Super Sliming event. Super Sliming soaks anyone willing to play during a free-flowing slime celebration. Kids meet Team Nick, dance the Slime Slide and have the slime of their lives! I convinced my son to do the personal sliming and staff energetically sing and dance as guests walk up to the soak station for their moment in the spotlight. I grab my son’s hand right before we get drenched in slime and it’s truly a bonding moment.
