Not many know but ever since Varun Dhawan entered Bollywood, he had a 100% success rate. All his films were doing well at the box office and he was rewarded as a bankable actor. Though over the years he did find some lows in his career, now, it looks like he is back in the race. After the release of Bawaal movie, Varun Dhawan became not only a bankable actor but also lucky for producers. When movies were not working much post pandemic, Varun’s movie didn’t fail to entice the audience.
Varun Dhawan becomes bankable actor
With the release of Jug Jugg Jeeyo, Bhediya and Bawaal, all of them managed to impress the audience. Jug Jugg Jeeyo was a family entertainer movie and was a multi-starrer that brought the family audience back to the theatres. The movie has crossed the 100 crore mark as its lifetime collection is Rs 136.13 crores which is a commendable feat. Raj Mehta directorial starred Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Varun.
On the other hand, his horror-comedy Bhediya also did well at the box office. The film’s total collection was Rs 66.65 crores. Though the movie didn’t cross the 100 crore mark, it definitely recovered the budget amount. Speaking about his recently released movie Bawaal, the film has already become the talk of the town despite having a theatrical release. Having said that, all 3 films which were released post pandemic have been extremely profitable for producers.
Varun thanks fans for the love
After the release of Bawaal, the Kalank actor penned a note, expressing his gratitude towards the fans. He wrote, “Ajju bhaiya ne Mahual bana diya. Thank u for giving bawaal a place In Your heart. I have never received so many calls for any film of mine. The impact this film is having on people is incredible. It’s a conversation starter about the fake image industry and how today we are all in someway slaves to this ideology. Thank u for watching and enjoying Ajju and his family. You are Bawaal.“
