Tarla

Based on the real-life story of Chef Tarla Dalal, the flick chronicles her journey from being a home-maker to a celebrated chef. The core of the film is that your passion motivates you to achieve goals. This ingredent makes journey of Tarla truly inspiring not only for housewives, but also millenials. While representing her journey also wins brownie points for beautifully capturing mouth-watering dishes. The film stars Huma Qureshi and Sharib Hashmi in lead roles and is streaming on Zee 5.

Bawaal

Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor led Bawaal is a complicated story in the simplest yet beautiful manner. Ajay seems to be in a forced relationship with Nisha in order to keep his ‘perfect image’ intact. An unexpected turn in his life, prompts him to revisit the horrors of World War 2. This period changes their perspective towards love, life and brings out the best of them. Apart from the self-discovery, the film also manages to shed light on a neurological disease sensitively.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan

The Salman Khan starrer film is high on action and also has an emotional appeal. Overall, the plot emphasises the values of sibling bond and family love. The film also shows how Bhaijaan sacrificed his love to have a peaceful relationship with his brother. But later, they try to set him up with Bhagya (Pooja Hegde). What we witness later is how Bhaijaan changes his behaviour to impress her. Also starring Jagapathi Babu, Raghav Juyal, Palak Tiwari, Shehnaaz Kaur Gill, Venkatesh, Bhumika Chawla among others, the Farhad Samji directorial is streaming on Zee5.

Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar

Starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in prominent roles, the Luv Ranjan directorial is available on Netflix. The film is a perfect rom-com with all the required elements like witty punchlines, chart buster songs and crackling chemistry of the lead pair. Apart from highlighting the tough times in a relationship, the film also sheds light on importance of family and friendship.

Shehzada

If you are looking for something light-hearted with a dash of action, then this Kartik Aaryan starrer is a must watch for you. The journey of Bantu (Kartik Aaryan) being unaware of his identity to the desi-style revelation is engaging. The film rides high on entertainment and has perfect laced humour, romance, family values, drama and action. Also starring Kriti Sanon, Manisha Koirala, Ronit Roy and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles, the film is available on Netflix.
