It’s been a resurgent year for boxing as the sport continued its recovery after it was temporarily shut down by the global pandemic in 2020.
Despite the difficulties in putting on events under tough restrictions, there have still been a number of stunning KOs over the past 12 months.
At the start of 2021, Ryan Garcia got up off the canvas and blasted Luke Campbell with a stunning body shot to make a statement.
A few months later, YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul flattened Ben Askren inside one round, while Paul’s rival, Tommy Fury, also produced a KO worthy of any highlight reel.
Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury followed up his stoppage of Deontay Wilder last year with a brutal KO to end their trilogy.
And pound-for-pound king Canelo Alvarez became undisputed ruler of the super-middleweight division by leaving Caleb Plant flat on his back.
