Tesco and Sainsbury’s have withdrawn a range of products from their shelves this month, including cheese and frozen desserts.
Food recall alerts by the UK Food Standards Agency state that the items contain ingredients that are not listed on the packaging.
The supermarket products are now considered a “possible health risk” to consumers who are allergic to the undeclared components.
Fears of salmonella in Sainsbury’s Mexican-style cheese are joined by allergy recalls for various foods sold in Tesco.
