Furious mum is ‘plotting revenge’ on parents blocking her driveway

While having a driveway is usually a blessing, there are instances where it leads to more problems than good. In one such instance,  a mum has reached her boiling point and now wants to teach other parents “a lesson” if they keep blocking her driveway when they pick up their children from a nearby school.

The woman who owns the driveway has taken to the popular parenting site Mumsnet to share her frustration.

In a post, she said that she usually leaves the driveway empty for her husband, who returns home from work at around 4pm.

Frustratingly, however, parents picking up their children from a nearby school often use the empty driveway as a parking space.

The anonymous mum has now had enough and wants to take “revenge” on those who choose to use the space.

She explained: “I work from home and usually park in the visitor pay outside my house so my partner can park on the driveway he gets home 3.30-4pm.

“However recently people have been parking on my driveway. Last week I caught someone pulling in.

“[I] knocked on their window and they argued with me saying they needed to pick up their child.

“Eventually they did move, but moved to where they were just halfway blocking my driveway and halfway blocking my neighbour, so no one could access it!”

The mum has also contacted the nearby school but was told that they can only ask parents not to block residents in.

As part of her revenge, she is now considering blocking anyone who decides to park in her driveway.

She believes that if the irresponsible parents taste their own medicine, they will be deterred from doing it again.

The mum said: “If I did block anyone in it would only be for 30 minutes to cause a bit of stress and a lesson learned.”

Another added: “Parking on someone’s driveway is top-tier CF [cheeky f***er] behaviour. I’d do the same if I were you.”

A third commented:  “The entitlement, how dare someone park on your driveway.

“That is outrageous. I’d block them and also shame them on local Facebook groups.”
