Tyson Fury has responded to Deontay Wilder after The Bronze Bomber expressed a willingness to face his fierce rival for a fourth time. Posting to his Instagram story, Fury wrote: “Man looking for another ass whooping.”
Fury’s post comes after Wilder stated that there is a ‘definite possibility’ of the pair fighting each other again during a recent interview.
“I think that there’s definitely a chance of a fourth fight again,” Wilder told Sky Sports. “Boxing is a business. Many people call it a sport but it’s not a sport.
“The heavyweight division is very small. I’m still a big fish in the business, especially here in America. As long as we’re all in the same division and all still currently fighting, why not? It only can lead to that. With all that being said, it’s definitely a possibility.”
For now, though, Wilder turns his attention to his October 15 showdown with Robert Helenius at the Barclays Centre in New York City. The winner of the contest is expected to face Andy Ruiz Jr in a WBC final eliminator bout for a shot at Fury’s green strap.
Another possible next opponent for Wilder is Oleksandr Usyk who called out the American after negotiations to stage the first undisputed heavyweight unification clash of the four-belt era with Fury fell through.
