Fury labelled ‘same as Joshua’ in angry rant after ‘ducking’ fight

Mahmoud Charr has accused Tyson Fury of ducking him and being ‘the same as Anthony Joshua’ after going back and forth on his promise to fight the Lebanese heavyweight.

Fury called off his proposed all-British showdown with AJ last Thursday after setting a one-day deadline to receive the final paperwork from the Watford powerhouse. The Gypsy King previously walked away from the bout on Monday but gave Joshua another day to sign the contract.

At the time, Charr was infuriated by Fury’s willingness to continue negotiations and released a video on his Instagram story, saying: “Fury, you are the same s*** like Anthony Joshua. A man is a man. When you say Joshua’s out, he’s out. You tell everyone, you want to fight me. Now you are like a duck.”

Now, Charr has doubled down on those claims, via Boxing Scene, he said: “Fury, you duck my challenge. AJ is (scared) and coming (off two losses). Why should (you) give him a chance?”

“Any man that wants to fight another man should call him out as you have been doing to me. So, I accept your challenge Manuel Charr, let’s get it on motherf*****.”

Fury has also toyed with the idea of fighting Charr and another boxer on the same night.

“Just been doing a little bit of brainstorming,” Fury continued. “December 3 is coming, and Mahmoud Charr has agreed. Why don’t I fight two people in one night, Mahmoud Charr and somebody else?

“That would be pretty damn awesome. I’d probably be the first WBC heavyweight champion to have two fights in one night and that is a guaranteed fact, what do you think?”
