Fury left red-faced after fight date blunder as TNT shoves Bamba

Tommy Fury (8-0) was left with egg on his face after he forgot he was fighting on Sunday. Coming face to face with his next opponent Paul Bamba (5-2) at a Tuesday press event ahead of their November 13 clash, the pair got into a heated exchange of words.

As Bamba questioned Fury’s credentials and jeered at the ex-Love Island star, ‘TNT’ responded: “You’ll find out tomorrow.” Looking extremely confused, Bamba replied: “What do you mean tomorrow? Sunday? You’re nervous already.”

“I will show you nervous on Sunday night, trust me,” Fury fired back. “I’m not here for playing games, I’m not here to tip and tap about, I’m here for domination.”

Bamba then reached to touch Fury’s face as the Brit shoved him back. “Don’t you ever touch my face like that, I’ll be touching your face on Sunday,” said Fury.

Despite a winning record, Bamba has losses to two losing journeymen including a knockout defeat at the hands of then 0-6 Hermosillo fighter Abraham Velazquez Salazar. Fury, meanwhile, hasn’t fought the best level of opposition himself with his eight opponents holding a combined record of 24-176-5 at the time of fighting him.

A victory on Sunday night is as crucial as ever for Fury with long-time rival Jake Paul in attendance. ‘The Problem Child’ is yet to announce his next opponent but is open to the idea of attempting to make the Fury fight for the third time after two failed attempts.

Shortly after the news broke that Paul would be flying to Dubai to watch the event, Fury told assembled media: “I’m not interested who’s there. There could be a million Jake Paul’s sat ringside. My mindset is laser-focused on Paul Bamba, getting him out the way then I’ll jump out ringside and slap him in the face.

“I’m not really bothered about Jake Paul or KSI or whoever they’re with because a load of boys really, with a load of men, that’s what it is.”
