John Fury had to be held back by security as things got heated at the press conference ahead of his son Tommy’s clash with Paul Bamba. However, it wasn’t Bamba who angered the iconic boxing trainer, but Anthony Taylor, who the former Love Island star beat via unanimous decision in Cleveland last August.
Taylor is also on the uncercard for the Floyd Mayweather v Deji clash, taking on Jack Fincham. But as Fury Jnr tried to speak to the media, the American interrupted with an extraordinary rant, claiming the pair should be going at it again on November 13 in Dubai.
“Sorry to cut you off, but Paul should be fighting my guy Jack, I should be fighting you in a rematch,” he said. “Come on bro, you know that’s not a match bro. Fighting Bamba? We got unfinished business. You should have finished what you started.”
A clearly irate (Tommy) Fury retored with: “Shouldn’t you be on a stripper pole somewhere? I’ve got some ones in my pocket to throw at you.” It didn’t stop Taylor though, who continued with: “We should be having a fight right now. We’d be the main event.”
