Since retiring in 2019, Dwyane Wade has dedicated most of his time to his family.
Wade has spoken at length about providing the best possible environment for his wife and children, but with so much free time in retirement, Wade and wife Gabrielle Union have a lot time to go on vacations.
Union says that she enjoys spending time with her husband while they travel, but noted one odd demand Wade had for their vacation destinations.
In an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark, Union noted that Wade wanted to be shirtless when the couple celebrated their upcoming ninth wedding anniversary.
“As a family, D keeps the shirt off,” Union said while noting that his preference is usually for warmer or more tropical destinations. “So I think he chooses places he can feel the most comfortable.”
Union says the couple haven’t quite nailed down what they want to do for their anniversary, but that it will most likely involve spending time with their other married friends.
“Oh, do we celebrate. We’ll celebrate a Wednesday just because! So our anniversary, we usually go big on a big trip with a few other couple friends who are married around the same time,” she told Kelly Ripa.
It sounds like the couple is planning to have a good time, depending on what they eventually settle on doing to celebrate.
