Gabrielle Union is all about changing things up. She’s the ultimate hairstyle chameleon, putting her stamp on curly updos, side bangs and mommy-and-me matching braided buns like it’s nothing. Her latest photoshoot is yet another example of how flawlessly the actor and Flawless by Gabrielle Union founder rocks look after look after look.
Union, who snagged the cover of Hello Beautiful magazine, shared a fun BTS video from the photoshoot, where the star wears a variety of all-red ensembles with hairstyles by Larry Sims to match. In the cover shot, Union poses in a gorgeous red halter gown with her hair in the very same Diana Ross curls and braided headband we caught her in in late January — a little sneak peek that was definitely a teaser at the show-stopping glamour to come. Union’s hair is styled in full, fluffy clouds of curls for a ’70s vibe, but later in the shoot, Sims pulls it up into a towering beehive style, keeping the crown braid headband intact. When paired with a bright red vinyl coat, it’s the perfect blend of retro throwback and modern magic. (We have a feeling Rihanna would approve of the crimson wardrobe.)
