Pullos, 24, was driving on a freeway in Pasadena when the accident occurred, according to documents obtained by Deadline.

She was arrested for driving under the influence, and for going the wrong way on the highway and causing injury, according to the outlet.

Pullos allegedly was travelling westbound when her white 2019 Ford swerved and dangerously crossed into an eastbound lane, hitting a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old woman head-on.

Both Pullos and the other driver, who had to be extracted from their cars with the jaws of life, were hospitalized. According to Deadline, their current conditions have not been disclosed, but the victim suffered “major injuries.”

TMZ reported that as Pullos was being tended to, she got physically violent with one of the firefighters assessing her condition.

“This is a $400 f***ing shirt!” she allegedly shouted.

After a search of her car, cops said they discovered cannabis edibles and mini-bottles of tequila. At the hospital, Pullos “showed clear signs she’d been driving under the influence” with officers noting that she smelled of alcohol and was suffering from slurred speech and watery eyes.

The daytime star also allegedly got aggressive and tried to fight hospital staff before she was sedated.

“Pullos was ultimately arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving the wrong way on a freeway, causing injury,” California Highway Patrol said in a statement.

TMZ also reported that Pullos was involved in a possible hit-and-run incident before the horrifying freeway crash.

Social media posts from the Pasadena Fire Department following the collision showed both cars almost completely unrecognizable. “Early this morning PFD responded to a traffic collision requiring rescue of occupants from both vehicles,” the message read alongside a series of photos. “Cause is unknown but always a reminder to stay within the speed limit, avoid drinking and stay off your phone.”

Last week, Pullos — who played Molly Lansing-Davis on General Hospital since 2009 — told Soap Opera Digest that she was taking a break to recover from the accident.

She said in a statement, “Unfortunately, I was involved in an automobile accident and I’m doing OK, but I am going to need a little time to recover. I will be back as soon as possible!”

For now, Pullos’ character has been temporarily recast with Holiday Mia Kriegel subbing in to play the part beginning May 22.
