Georgetown vs. DePaul prediction and pick

There’s not a lot to separate these two teams who are destined to remain in the basement of the Big East throughout the division. With that being said, DePaul has had a rough schedule to start the season, having to play on the road against the majority of its tough opponents.

When the Blue Demons play on their home court, they actually resemble a half decent basketball team. For example, their effective field goal percentage goes from 43.4% on the road to 57.2% at home. That’s a staggering improvement of 13.8%.

In fact, that’s ranks inside the top 50 for all teams in the country on their home court.

Meanwhile, Georgetown’s effective field goal percentage drops to 45.7% on the road.

The Hoyas have also been terrible defensively all season, no matter where they play, ranking 290th in defensive efficiency.

I’m willing to lay the points with DePaul in this spot and hope their hot shooting at home continues tonight as they aim for their first Big East win of the season.
