Get ‘streak-free’ windows with item cleaning fan calls a ‘game changer’

The task of window cleaning takes on a new level of annoyance when all that careful spraying and wiping results in a mess of streaks.

To add insult to injury, the streaks often reveal themselves only when they catch the light.

Instead of having to spend time and money on window sprays, cleaning fans claimed that all that’s needed is a certain type of cloth.

Taking to the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook page, one woman asked for the best way to clean windows. Lesley Sutherland wrote: “What’s the best thing for cleaning windows?”

One of the most popular responses was to use a damp My Cloth, which is a cleaning cloth used for shiny surfaces.

Posting a picture of the cloth, Sarah Lockyear said: “These are excellent and you don’t need any products with it.

“Just wet one cloth and wipe the window and dry off with another. It’s also great on mirrors, tiles and shower doors.”

Tracey Goodwin instructed: “Use a My Cloth. Wet, wring and wipe. It gets rid of any streaks instantly.”

Darren Clarke said: “My Cloth. An absolute game-changer for streak-free windows, only water when required and polish as you clean it. Order online you shall not be disappointed.”

Bryony Stevens said: “Dampen a My Cloth with just water and to clean. The windows will not streak or attract dirt.”

Megan Sparkes wrote: “A My Cloth wrung out in a bucket of warm water. It’s a game-changer. It’s the best £4 I’ve spent.”

Hillary Walker commented: “Good old fashioned water and a cloth, specifically the My Cloth.

“I go around and wash all the windows using this. Then I go back around and dry off with a separate cloth.”

The My Cloth is an environmentally friendly cleaning cloth and is “the only cloth that you will ever need”, claimed the experts at My Cloth Ltd.

They said: “Not only will your glass and mirrors never streak, worktops and tiles also will never look better.”

Households only need to only use water when cleaning. Wet the cloth, wring it out until almost dry and wipe.

This cloth can be used on TVs, mirrors, tiles, granite, stainless steel, chrome, and much more.
