With the Milwaukee Bucks eliminated from the NBA Playoffs, Giannis Antetokounmpo has some extra time on his hands.
The two-time NBA MVP recently took to Instagram to see which NFL team would draft him – with the help of a filter.
With a bit of hometown luck, Giannis landed with the Green Bay Packers. According to the filter, he would be picked in the fifth round with the No. 176 overall selection. Not bad for someone who’s never played organized football before.
“I’m taking my talent to the Green Bay Packers,” Giannis said on Instagram. “If you need a Quarter Back I’m available for the next couple of months.. I got nothing going on,” he said with a laughing emoji.
Giannis is obviously sticking to basketball, but it would be pretty interesting to see him on the football field. He would be the tallest quarterback in NFL history at 6-foot-11, beating out the current record holder Dan McGwire by three inches.
As one of the strongest and most athletic players in the NBA, it’s likely that Giannis would be able to at least hold his own in the NFL from a physical standpoint.
There aren’t too many players who are able to absorb contact in the lane like he can, making him a great option at running back if he ever decides to switch sports.
