Gogglebox’s Pete Sandiford swipes at Holly and Phil in queuing row

Gogglebox star Pete Sandiford made a jibe at Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby during Friday’s episode of the Channel 4 show. Alongside his sister Sophie, they reviewed a surreal segment of the Halloween special of This Morning before making some cheeky comments.

Pete and Sophie were watching the ITV daytime show, where a guest called Brocarde discussed her future marriage to a ghost to the presenters.

The guest appeared on the spooky edition to lift the lid on her emotions ahead of tying the knot with the spirit called Eduardo.

However, Pete saw the funny side when the guest revealed her mystical husband did not like the presenter Phillip.

While watching the show, he quipped: “She’s not going to mention the queue-jumping is she?”

@Sophies_realm penned: “Oh I definitely need to see that full segment of This Morning. I need to know why the ghost doesn’t like Holly”.

DrewDainty declared: “@PeteandSophiehonestly need their own TV show.

“They crack me up so much, the kind of people you just want to go for a drink with as you know you would be wetting yourself all night #Gogglebox”.

Phil and Holly have struggled to shake off the aftermath of the queueing incident, despite issuing a statement justifying their actions in Westminster Hall.

After the much-publicised furore, Holly sought to address the issue on the popular ITV show.

In a statement, she read: “Like hundreds of accredited broadcasters and journalists we were given official permission to access the hall.”

She continued: “None of the broadcasters and journalists there took anyone’s place in the queue and no-one filed past the Queen. We of course respected those rules.

“However, we realise that it may have looked like something else, and therefore totally understand the reaction. Please know that we would never jump a queue.”

Gogglebox airs every Friday at 9pm on Channel 4
