Google issues yet another urgent Chrome warning- check your browser

Google Chrome users have been sent a fresh warning, days after being told to update their browser. Earlier this week, Google issued an alert saying that it had discovered a security flaw in its popular browser that was actively being exploited by cyber criminals in the wild. Now, the US tech giant has announced that they have found another dreaded zero-day malware that could put millions of users at risk.

For those not familiar with this term, zero-day means the glitch has already been spotted by hackers, who are now actively exploiting it in the wild.

This means that if your device is running on an older version of Chrome, you could be at risk of a cyber-attack.

Because of the seriousness of this threat, Google has scrambled to fix the flaw with a software patch titled 112.0.5615.137/138 which also resolves seven other issues.

In its release notes, the company said: “The Stable and extended stable channel has been updated to 112.0.5615.137/138 for Windows and 112.0.5615.137 for Mac and 112.0.5615.165 for Linux which will roll out over the coming days/weeks.
