Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro display specs
According to the report, the Google Pixel 7 will come with a 1,080 x 2,400pixel resolution and 90Hz refresh rate screen, while the Pixel 7 Pro may sport a 1,440 x 3,120p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate display. This, to recall, is the same resolution and refresh rate that is available on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones respectively.
The information was reportedly spotted on an Android Open Source Project where it was discovered that Google is working on two new display drivers, namely C10 and P10. The C10 display is associated with Pixel 7, owing to its codename Cheetah, while the P10 is said to belong to Pixel 7 Pro, which is codenamed Panther. Additionally, taking a closer look at the code revealed that the panels are made by Samsung, which are akin to their predecessors, with model numbers S6E3FC3 and S6E3HC3, respectively.
That said, Google is also said to be working on a display carrying the model number S6E3HC4. It’s expected to be a newer version of Google Pixel 6 Pro’s display that could end up on Google Pixel 7 Pro. While the Pixel 7 Pro size will be identical to Google Pixel 6 Pro, the regular Pixel 7 is believed to be a tad smaller than the Pixel 6, with a 1mm narrower and 2mm shorter display. Additionally, the Pixel 7 Pro will also get a native 1080p mode to save some battery life.
