Masterchef: The Professionals star Matt Worswick was hand picked to run Gordon’s famous Savoy Grill restaurant – but has now left the company following an ‘explosive’ incident

They say if you can’t stand the heat, get out the kitchen – and Gordon Ramsay’s star chef has done just that.
The 55-year-old chef is well known for having a foul temper and a filthy mouth and food experts are surprised to learn the chef he hired to run The Savoy Grill has walked out of the job after just seven months.
The exclusive restaurant is one of the most high end in London – with Gordon selecting 28-year-old Michelin star awarded chef Matt Worswick to run the establishment.
But according to reports, there has been an almighty argument and now Matt is packing up his ladles and heading out the door for good.

A source told the Daily Mail: “We are all shocked.
“There was an explosive incident in the kitchen and then Matt announced he was leaving.”
Matt himself told the publication: “My journey has come to an end at the Savoy. I’d like to thank all the staff, past and present, for all their hard work and dedication. I’d like to wish Gordon Ramsay all the very best and continued success for the future.”
While it is also reported that foul mouthed chef Gordon was abroad at the time of the incident and Matt’s time at the restaurant coming to an abrupt end.

Fans of Masterchef: The Professionals may recognise Matt from the 2010 contest where he made it through to the semi-finals.
While the cooking expert has made waves in the culinary world by winning a Michelin star when he was just 26, and he was tasked with opening a a second restaurant at the five-star Savoy hotel in September – which is named The River.
Meanwhile, Gordon will be continuing to cheer on his daughter, Tilly Ramsay, this weekend as she continues to battle for victory on the BBC ’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Earlier this month, the 20-year-old TikTok star was astonished when her father burst into tears after watching her perform on the long-running talent show.
Speaking on What To Watch, the influencer said: “I still can’t believe he cried, he’s so not that kind of guy!
“The whole family are so supportive and hopefully proud of me. Without their support really none of this would be possible.”
Fans were also shocked, with one viewer tweeting: “Gordon Ramsay in the audience crying because he’s so proud of his daughter has absolutely set me off. This is the most wholesome series #Strictly.”

And another wrote: “Never thought I’d spend my Saturday night getting emotional at Gordon Ramsay crying at his daughter dancing on Strictly, but here we are.”
Last weekend Tilly and her dance partner Nikita Kuzmin had the highest score of the night after wowing the judges with their couple’s choice dance.
