Gordon Ramsay may have recently shared his fear that he expects to fail in life – but a new business deal means he will be raking in a nice little fortune while having his latest TV show broadcast in the UK and USA simultaneously.

The 55-year-old celebrity chef is set to make his TV comeback this year with a new cookery show called Future Food Stars – which carries the cheeky, and very Gordon-appropriate, nickname FFS.

The show is said to emulate The Apprentice and will follow 12 food entrepreneurs battling for investment from the F Word star.

The show hasn’t even started airing yet but has already been greenlit for a second season on the BBC, while the rights to broadcast the show in the USA have already been bought by the Fox network in a reported “multimillion pound deal.”

A show source has opened up about the exciting new project, telling The Sun on Sunday: “Gordon’s super-excited, as it’s the first time that he’s had a programme like this on television in the UK as well as the US, with Fox and the BBC at the same time – it’s a big deal for him.

“He is very much looking forward to filming Stateside in the new year, where he has a home, and investing in the show’s winning US entrepreneur to add to his American portfolio.

“Beeb producers are all very excited — the challenges on the series are pretty epic, plus the personalities of all the contestants are huge.

“Mix that in with American-style cinematography and it feels much bigger and fresher than most telly shows on the box at the moment.”

Gordon’s good news comes just days after the star himself said his fear of failure is what drives him to reach for the stars every day.

He said: “It’s always about being better than what we’ve already done, and constantly pushing the envelope.

“I don’t sit and think ‘We’ve made it’ or ‘We’re financially secure. Why work so hard?’”

While Gordon has enjoyed huge success on some shows – including Hell’s Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, and Ramsay’s Best Restaurant – he doesn’t always hit the right spot.

Last year, he fronted a new game show called Bank Balance which was released to much fanfare last February.

However the show flopped and was cancelled after just one season due to low ratings.

Meanwhile, recent reports have suggested Gordon’s success could soon be eclipsed by the success and careers of his five children.

It has been suggested that 23-year-old daughter Megan, 22-year-old twins Jack and Holly, 20-year-old Strictly star Tilly and two-year-old son Oscar could be “worth millions in the next few years” if they capitalise on certain branding opportunities, according to a PR executive.

Nick Ede, the founder of East of Eden PR agency, said: “[They] are certainly going in the same direction as the Beckhams and the Kardashians. They are in the perfect position to poise themselves for fame and fortune.”

The siblings could be “worth millions” if they take advantage of business opportunities, he added, and following in their parents footsteps “they will be the ones to watch in 2022.”
