Some of the top voices in gospel and Christian music have joined forces for the It’s Time tour.
The trek — which touches down June 24 at the Masonic in San Francisco and June 25 at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood — features Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Naomi Raine, Katie Torwalt, Tamela Mann and Taya.
Cobbs Leonard is best known for the the powerful chart-topper “Break Every Chain,” which hails from her 2013 major label debut, “Grace,” and ended up winning the Grammy Award for best gospel/contemporary Christian music performance in 2014.
Mann is another Grammy winner, who took home the trophy after “God Provides” was judged best gospel song/performance in 2017. She got her start as a singer with the legendary Kirk Franklin and the Family gospel group.
Raine is a member of the popular Maverick City Music collective and can be heard on a number of Grammy-winning outings, including Kirk Franklin’s “Kingdom Book One.”
Sonoma native Torwalt is now based in Sacramento and is a longtime member of the Jesus Culture Music organization. She and her husband Bryan have released a number of albums, including the top 10-charting “Kingdom Come” of 2013.
Taya has worked extensively with United (also known as Hillsong United) and contributed vocals to that outfit’s immensely popular “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail),” which was named song of the year at the 2014 GMA Dove Awards. Her eponymous solo debut was released in 2022.
