The Boston Celtics have been making moves this offseason to improve the team.
Although the Eastern Conference team lost veteran Marcus Smart in a three-team trade, the Celtics acquired Kristaps Porzingis and two first-rounders.
With those moves, the future of Grant Williams has come into question.
But the 24-year-old said the door is open on a potential return to the team that drafted him in 2019.
“Absolutely,” he told reporters when asked if that’s a possibility. “It’s just a matter of the decision of whether or not it’s needed.”

Williams is scheduled to enter restricted free agency this offseason and it’s uncertain the Celtics will be able to re-sign him.
During his four seasons in Boston, Williams averaged 6.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists on 45.1 percent shooting from the field and 37.9 percent from long distance.
We’ll see what happens with Williams this offseason.
