Christmas has officially arrived at Greggs today with the launch of its Festive Bake, alongside a new plant-based twist on the traditional seasonal pastry. The original Festive Bake launched in 2009, and the high street baker has been hard at work this year creating a vegan version of the Christmas classic.
What is in the vegan Festive Bake?
New for winter 2021, the vegan Festive Bake is inspired by the flavours of the traditional Festive Bake but uses only plant-based ingredients.

The Festive Bakes are joining an array of other festive menu additions, including sweet and savoury treats.

Pigs Under Blankets Baguette
This tasty baguette is jam-packed full of all of the Christmas dinner trimmings one could dream of – with the exception of the ever-divisive Brussel sprout.
Each freshly baked crusty baguette is filled with cooked pork sausages, smoked sweet cure bacon topped with pork, onion and sage stuffing, garnished with cranberry and port sauce.

Christmas Lunch Soup
Greggs said the Christmas Lunch Soup aims to give people a taste of the season “on the go”.
The Christmas soup is made with diced smoked bacon, pork sausage, tasty chicken, turkey, sage and onion stuffing and vegetables, blended with a delicious mix of herbs and spices.
Pigs in Blankets
Pigs in Blankets are arguably one of the main events on your Christmas dinner plate.
Now, the high street baker is offering you the chance to grab a pot on the go throughout December.
Simple but delicious, each pot contains a selection of cooked pork sausages wrapped in smoked streaky bacon.

Christmas Cake Slice
The Greggs Christmas Cake Slice is made from fruit and ground almonds, seasoned with apricot jam and almond marzipan, topped with a layer of white icing.
Christmas Star Biscuit
A festive star-shaped treat made from crunchy biscuit, coated in milk chocolate and decorated with sweet sugar sprinkles.
