The “Come Monday” hitmaker promised that “growing old is not for sissies” and said that when he’s “well enough to perform” he will be doing so “in the land of She-Crab soup.”
Buffett said his fans make his life more fulfilled and meaningful and he never would’ve imagined that as a “toe headed little boy sitting on the edge of the Gulf of Mexico.”
He thanked fans for their thoughts and prayers for their years of loyalty, telling them: “just remember, ‘NOT YET!’”
The 76-year-old crooner didn’t outline why he was hospitalized. Last September, a hospital stay forced him to cancel the remainder of his 2022 performances, TMZ reported.
The South Carolina show was part of Buffett’s “Second Wind” Tour 2023. No rescheduled date has been announced, but ticketholders will be able to attend that show.
