GT vs MI injury update
GT injury update Gujarat Titans played the last game without in-form batter Sai Sudharsan, who played just one game in the last 1 month’s time. The franchise remains tight-lipped on the condition of the 21-year-old southpaw, who scored 47 on return to the playing 11 against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 15 but didn’t play the last group game and Qualifier 1 subsequently.
Yash Dayal missed Qualifier 1 as well after the bowler returned to line up as an additional Indian pacer with Hardik Pandya not bowling in the last few games. Pandya, whose batting form has declined in the last three innings, hasn’t bowled in the last four matches.
Likely replacements Sai Sudharsan’s absence hasn’t affected GT much with their top- and middle-order in form while Yash Dayal was replaced by Darshan Nalkande in the last game.
Previous major injuries Earlier in the season, Kane Williamson was ruled out with a knee injury while fielding and was replaced by Sri Lanka’s T20 skipper Dasun Shanaka.
MI injury update Tilak Varma returned to the side after an injury layoff and replaced Nehal Wadhera in the line-up. Both the batters have been in good form this season, leading to a selection headache.
Previous major injuries Mumbai Indians earlier lost pacers Jofra Archer and Jhye Richardson owing to injuries and were replaced by Chris Jordan and Riley Meredith respectively. Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah missed the entire IPL and was replaced by Sandeep Warrier.
