Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has issued an apology after the band cancelled their performance in Glasgow on medical grounds.

The gig was scheduled to go ahead at Glasgow Green on Tuesday before the group issued a statement revealing they would be unable to perform due to “illness and medical advice”.

Legendary frontman Rose, who formed the band in 1985, took to social media to issue a personal apology to fans and revealed he was “following doctors orders”.

He wrote: “I’d like to thank everyone 4 (for) their well wishes! We apologize 4 (for) the inconvenience of postponing Glasgow.

“I’ve been following Dr’s (doctors) orders, getting rest, working w/a (without) issues.

“Seems good so far. Thanks again 4 (for) everyone’s concern.

“At the end of the day it’s about giving u (you) the fans the best of rselves (ourselves) n’ (and) the best time we can give u (you) n’ (and) that’s all I, the band and crew r (are) focused on.

“See u (you) in Munich!”

It comes after crowds at recent London shows held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium were reportedly presented with a catalogue of issues surrounding Guns N’ Roses concerts last week.

Rose is said to have told the crowd he was “having issues” with his voice just seven songs into the second night when the band played a truncated 19-song set.

No date for the rescheduled gig has yet been announced, but fans have been urged to keep their tickets and await any further updates on plans.
