The Iron Man actor, 50, was all smiles as she relaxed alongside her husband Brad Falchuk, 52, covering herself with a carefully placed arm across her chest.
Brad Falchuk cosied up to his wife for the picture, which she posted to her Instagram page alongside a collection of pictures from the sun-soaked holiday.
The star shared a number of photos that included serene views and delicious-looking food, captioning the post with hearts in the colours of the Italian flag.
Gwyneth also posted a rare picture of her son Moses, 17, who she shared with ex-husband Chris Martin.
He can be seen dressed in a smart shirt and tie as he enjoys a drink in a cafe during the holiday. Days before, his famous mother shared a photo of the pair at the Milan art exhibition.
Gwyneth recently paid tribute to her ex-husband in a touching Instagram post for Father’s Day, with whom she also shares daughter Apple, 19.
They were married for 13 years after tying the knot in 2003 before calling things off and separating in 2014, divorcing officially two years later in 2016.
Despite their split, the pair have remained close friends and have a positive co-parenting relationship which has often been praised.
She shared a family photo of the singer with their two children and captioned the post: ‘And happy fathers day to this guy [sic],’ with a blue love heart emoji.
In the round-up, which also included an adorable snap of Moses leaning on his father, she paid tribute to Brad and his role as the children’s stepfather.
‘Happy Fathers Day to our Brad Falchuk. He is the greatest. Great dog dad. Great step dad [sic].’
Gwyneth finally paid tribute to her own father Bruce Paltrow with a vintage shot of the pair standing on the ‘stoop of [their] townhouse on 92nd st circa 1987 [sic]’.
She spoke about the split in 2020 during an interview with Drew Barrymore for The Drew Barrymore Show, saying: ‘It’s so interesting because in a way my divorce and my relationship with Chris now is better than our marriage was. So I do think that it can be done.
‘We’re all part good and part bad. It’s not binary. We’re all gray area. We’re all trying our best. And I really wanted my kids to not be traumatized if it were possible.’
