Gwyneth Paltrow had some parting words for Terry Sanderson as she exited the courtroom Thursday after a jury found her not at fault in a collision at a posh Utah ski resort in 2016.

As Paltrow made her way out, she reached down and touched the retired optometrist’s arm and whispered, “I wish you well,” a video circulating on social media shows.

Paltrow was sued for more than $300,000 by Sanderson, who claimed she was skiing recklessly on a beginner’s slope at the Deer Valley Resort in 2016. Sanderson alleged she crashed into him from behind, breaking four of his ribs and causing head trauma that left him emotionally distressed. Paltrow fired back by countersuing Sanderson for $1 and attorney fees, alleging that the 76-year-old was at fault and smashed into her from behind.

After the eight-day trial, a jury found the actress was not at fault in the crash, and awarded her the $1 she sought in her countersuit.

“I felt that acquiescing to a false claim compromised my integrity,” Paltrow said in a statement after the verdict. “I am pleased with the outcome and I appreciate all of the hard work of Judge Holmberg and the jury, and thank them for their thoughtfulness in handling this case.”

Throughout the trial, Paltrow maintained that Sanderson embellished his injuries in order to try to exploit her celebrity and wealth.

During her testimony last week, Paltrow said she initially thought the crash might have been a “practical joke” as she felt “a body pressing against me and a very strange grunting noise.”

When asked whether he “deterred [her] from enjoying what was the rest of a very expensive vacation,” she replied, “Well, I lost half a day of skiing, yes.”

The actress and Goop founder captivated viewers with her fashion sense, which included a $289 pair of aviator glasses that many online likened to ones worn by serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, and the rare insight the trial provided into her privileged lifestyle.

Meanwhile, Sanderson, who referred to the collision as a “a hit-and-run ski crash,” made headlines for comparing Paltrow to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during his testimony.

”I guess like, what is going on here? This is obviously an issue that someone needs to be accountable for, and if they’re never accountable, what are they gonna do? They’re gonna do it again,” Sanderson said on the stand, per the New York Post.

“Now we have the … molesting of young children on an island,” he added, alluding to Epstein’s “Pedophile Island,” where he abused dozens of girls.

Sanderson went on to recount how a screaming woman crashed into him with her fists and poles.

“All I saw was a whole lot of snow. And I didn’t see the sky, but I was flying,” Sanderson told the courtroom, calling it “a serious smack.”

The hit, he further claimed, left him unable to enjoy wine tastings and affected his personal relationships.

Paltrow’s fight to clear her name rather than settle the suit privately proved to be a hit, with her fans making #Gwynnocent a trending topic on Twitter.

After the trial, Sanderson told reporters Paltrow “thinks she has the truth,” but maintained he had sued her to “see if justice prevails.”

“It should have been the facts of the accident because as I said, I brought absolutely the truth to the accident. There was no reason to wander from that and it still won’t, and I brought it for that reason,” Sanderson told Extra. “I wanted to see if justice prevails in those situations … You get some assumed credibility from being a famous person… Who wants to take on a celebrity? No wonder I hesitated. It’s difficult. Who wants to do that to someone who learns lines, learns how to play someone else’s part and be believable, be credible, wins awards? Who wants to go on that path.”

Sanderson also revealed what Paltrow told him after the verdict was read as she was leaving the courtroom, “‘I wish you well,’” he said. “Very kind of her.”
