Hailey Bieber’s glazed donut nails pretty much broke the beauty internet last year. But now her manicurist, Zola Ganzorigt, has created a new rendition: Barbie glazed nails, for a bolder, cuter, more statement take on the trend.
We’re all familiar with the OG by now. Hailey kicked off last year by predicting “glazed ???????? skin all 2022. Tell a friend.” But as well as sharing her aesthetic for “hydrated, nourished, dewy, glowy, yummy, glazed skin” – with a little help from some tactical skincare layering – Hailey and Zola also helped to put glazed donut nails on the map. Her now-viral and much-replicated pearl-pink, chrome-dusted mani easily took the trophy for the biggest mani trend of 2022.
Zola blended OPI’s sheer white Funny Bunny polish with the brand’s pro-only Chrome effects top coat in Tin Can Man to create the silky-looking mani, then followed up with some more delicious spin-offs such as the chocolate glazed donut nails for autumn and the red-tipped candy cane glazed nails for Christmas.
