On June 22, the 26-year-old Rhode Skin founder stepped out in her best slipdress and sneaker combo yet, styling a sheer white ankle-length dress with matching underwear and a pair of white and green sneakers. As for her beauty look, the influencer later showed off her diligently cropped chin-length bob, glowy skin, and rosy lips in a series of car selfies, captioned, “summer traffic.”

I, however, would like to draw your attention to slide two of the carousel, in which Bieber debuted her latest manicure—the antithesis of the glazed donut nails she helped popularise in the spring of 2022. Instead of her signature neutral pearlescent mani, Hailey Bieber is currently rocking long, slightly chipped milky black nails that added a bit of nonchalant drama to her all-white ensemble.

Though Hailey Bieber sported black glazed donut nails back in October, breaking out this milky version of the shade out during the summer feels like a particularly stark departure from her favored dainty manicure, further signaling the end of her neutral chrome era. Earlier this month, Bieber experimented with a colourful set of mismatched pattern nails before pairing her Barbiecore mirrorball dress with a bright red polish with pink French tips. Sometimes it’s good to switch things up.
