Bayern have seen two offers rejected for the Tottenham captain in recent weeks, the latest said to be worth £68.5million plus add-ons.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is determined to hold onto the striker, who has one year left on his current deal and hope he will sign a new contract in north London.
But according to Hoeness, who now serves as Bayern’s honorary president and sits on the club’s supervisory board, Kane has signalled his intent to join the German champions and believes that desire will force Tottenham’s hand this summer.
‘Harry Kane has clearly signalled in all conversations that his decision has been made – and if it stays, then we will get him because then Tottenham will have to buckle,’ Hoeness said from Bayern Munich’s training camp, SPORT1 report.
He added: ‘He wants to play in European competitions and luckily for us Tottenham won’t be playing there next year. He now has another opportunity to come to a top club in Europe.
‘What we all like: His advisors are also very pleasant in this case. Up to now, his father and his brother have always stood by what they promised. If it stays that way, then it is okay.’
Just hours before Hoeness’ comments, head coach Thomas Tuchel took a more cautious approach when quizzed on the club’s interest in Kane.
‘I have a very boring answer: I do not comment on players who are not with us,’ Tuchel told a press conference.
‘It’s well known that we are looking for a number 9. If we find someone that fits in, then we’ll go all in.
‘If we don’t find anyone, we’re happy with our squad. But we need more patience’.
Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in signing Kane while Manchester United are thought to have shelved their interest this summer.
