Harry Styles breaks record for Scotland’s biggest selling stadium concert

Harry Styles is now the highest selling stadium concert to ever take place in Scotland.

Fans dressed in feather boas and cowboy hats flooded to Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium on Friday and Saturday for the singer’s record-breaking Love On Tour.

Organisers DF Concerts and Events and BT Murrayfield have confirmed Saturday’s sell-out show was the highest-selling concert ever in Scotland with a crowd of over 65,000 people.

BT Murrayfield said: “Saturday night’s Harry Styles concert is the highest-selling stadium concert in Scotland ever with an attendance of over 65,000. Thanks to every single one of you for a fantastic evening.”

The former One Direction band member to currently touring his third album and came to Edinburgh as part of the final leg a worldwide tour.

Fans responded to the record-breaking news on social media with one tweeting: “I’m so proud I could cry and I was there”.

Another added: “Harry managed to make every one of the 65,000 feel part of the show, he really is a Super Star.”

Styles thrilled the crowds on both nights with hits including Watermelon Sugar, Adore You and As It Was along with a rendition of the first One Direction single What Makes You Beautiful.

Saturday night also saw the star surprise the crowd with his popular unreleased song Medicine.

Fans also burst out in a chant of “‘no Scotland no party” after the singer praised the unique energy of the Scottish crowds.

The final leg of Love On Tour will finish up in July at the RCF arena in Italy.
