Harry Styles made one fan’s Pride month one to remember forever on Sunday night when he helped him come out as gay during his concert at Wembley, in front of thousands of supportive fans.

The singer spotted Italian gig-goer Mattia’s sign near the front of the stage, which read: “From Ono to Wembley: Help me come out.”

A video of the moment has been shared across social media, during which Harry grabbed a Pride rainbow flag and announced that when he waved it above his head: “You’re officially gay, my boy.”

Cue a few teasy moments with Harry nearly raising the flag, before the big finish with the crowd erupting into cheers, and Harry declaring: “Congratulations Mattia you are a free man.” No, you’re crying.

It seemed to be an emotional moment for Harry, too, who held his head back with his eyes closed. He later tweeted: “Wembley, last night was one of my favourite shows we’ve ever played. I don’t know where to begin thanking you, I’m completely overwhelmed. I’m so grateful, I’m so happy. Thank you, thank you. I love you all. See you later. H.”

It’s not the first time Harry has supported his fans in coming out during his concerts. One fan tweeted: “Harry Styles helping fans come out is actually super special and I don’t think ppl realise just how big that is. We feel comfortable enough at his shows WITH HIM to come out to stadiums full of ppl? Love On Tour and Harry Styles are pure magic and love.”

Another tweeted after attending the show: “Harry Styles literally helped a man come out at his concert! Like is that not just the best thing in the world!?? Hands down the best concert I’ve ever been to.”

Harry’s tour dates in the UK are officially over as he continues performing across Europe before to heading to Canada and the US towards the end of the year.
