Harry ‘will feel bad’ for missing out on Buckingham Palace balcony at Jubilee

A royal expert believes Prince Harry would have felt “very bad” over not being on the Buckingham Palace balcony for Trooping the Colour.

Despite the Sussexes voicing concerns about the Royal Family in American media, the Queen is believed to have been keen to see the family and meet their youngest child, Lilibet, for the first time, reports the Mirror.

The royal couple are trying to keep a low profile so they don’t overshadow the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations after their infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey about how Harry needed to “break the cycle” and bring up his family in a different environment.

But Tom Bower has claimed that Harry should have been on the balcony in uniform and suggested that he has lost his way, claiming the the influence of Meghan Markle has seen him distance himself from the royals.

Bower told Dan Wootton Tonight on GB News : “Harry should have been on parade, he should have been in uniform. That’s what his whole life was about. Meghan has, in a sense, undermined him and set him on the track against his own family.”

The Sussexes watched on during Trooping the Colour from the Major General’s Office, overlooking Horse Guards Parade, rather than having an active role.

They were missing from the Buckingham Palace balcony afterwards as this was reserved for working royals.

Meghan was pictured during the Trooping the Colour wearing a wide brimmed cream hat with a navy ribbon and Bower claimed that she was trying to grab attention.

“It was extraordinary how she thrust herself at the window with an oversized hat and a big smile and lowered the window of the car so she could be seen,” he said.

The 96-year-old Queen is reportedly likely to meet with the Sussexes this weekend for Lilibet’s first birthday.
