Glenn Maxwell completed the 20th over of the CSK innings.
Harshal bowled two full tosses above the waist and was pulled out of the attack by the on-field umpires.
WHY WAS HARSHAL TAKEN OUT OF THE ATTACK? WHAT DO THE RULES SAY?
According to the current no -ball rules (post an amendment in April 2019) if a bowler bowls two waist high no-balls or beamers, which are considered to be dangerous by the on-field umpires, he/she has to stop bowling from there on.
THE TWO NO-BALLS BOWLED BY HARSHAL
The first no-ball Harshal bowled was clearly above Moeen Ali’s waist height and was called a no-ball. But Maxwell, who was stand-in captain for Faf du Plessis, who had gone off the field, asked for a DRS review. The on-field umpire’s decision stood and a no-ball was given
Off the next ball, which was a free-hit delivery, Ravindra Jadeja, who had crossed over to the striker’s end, could only take a single.

The next delivery was again above waist height to Ali. The square leg umpire though didn’t call this one and Ali took a review, which showed that the ball was indeed above waist height.
Following this the umpires felt that the deliveries were ‘dangerous’ for the batters and after a brief discussion with Maxwell, Harshal was taken off the attack and Maxwell himself stepped in to complete the over. Harshal, who was clearly struggling for control, sent down 5 deliveries in that over, but only 2 of them were legal deliveries. Maxwell therefore had to bowl the 4 remaining deliveries.
