Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos releases September 26 for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Preorders are now open for the cozy farming simulator. Fans of the series may want to get their orders in early, as Winds of Anthos preorders come with an adorable plush to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary.
The upcoming entry in the lovable franchise will take you to the world of Anthos–a once-idyllic land that’s been transformed by a volcanic eruption. It’ll be up to you and a quirky inventor known as Doc Jr. to rebuild the land and return Anthos to its former glory.
Aside from a renewed focus on exploration, everything that makes Harvest Moon special is here in spades. That includes 10 unique contests and festivals, a variety of bachelors and bachelorettes to chat with, and the option to go scavenge for resources like ore, seeds, and other useful items. This time around you’ll also get to care for exotic animals (including tigers and wolves), which should bring an interesting twist to the standard farming formula.
Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos Preorder Bonuses
There aren’t any exclusive in-game items offered as a preorder bonus for the upcoming Harvest Moon game. However, you will get an exclusive Sleepytime Plush Cow when preordering through Amazon–which is arguably better than the other two options combined. The adorable plush is available with preorders for Switch, Xbox, and PS5.
$85
Sold exclusively through the NIS Store, the limited edition offers the base game, original soundtrack, animal lapel pin set, collector’s box, and the sleepytime cow plush. That means you’re paying an extra $35 for a pin set, soundtrack, and collector’s box–which might not be worth it unless you’re a longtime fan of the series.
