Health screenings given at Gless Ranch in Riverside

Those in need of free health screenings received them Saturday, Aug. 20, during a health fair at Gless Ranch in Riverside.

The grower partnered with the Altais Medical Group, a group of physicians in Riverside, to offer sports physicals for youth athletes as well as eye exams, blood sugar tests, body mass index checks and diabetes screenings for the public.

“Having been a part of the Riverside community for many years, we understand the serious physician shortage in this area and the problems that many have accessing health care in a timely manner,” said Dr. Sarah Chae, of Altais Medical Group.

Free COVID-19 test kits were also handed out.

Gless Ranch, which grows citrus, dates and avocados, is on Van Buren Boulevard in Riverside.
