William was the number one crush of many school girls due to his classically handsome looks, which took after Princess Diana, who was renowned for her beauty.
The then-second in line to the throne was even reported to be hanging on the walls of Kate Middleton’s bedrooms, despite Kate denying the rumors.
Just 15 years old at the time, the royal tour marked a poignant time in the Prince of Wales’s life, taking place six months after the tragic death of his mother Princess Diana.
