Two key players from the Miami Heat’s NBA Finals roster could be on the way out of South Beach this offseason.
According to Miami insider Barry Jackson, Pat Riley recently met with Gabe Vincent to encourage him to re-sign with the team. Unfortunately for the Heat, it appears the 27-year-old guard isn’t happy with the contract offer extended to him.
Max Strus is also likely on his way out as the Heat are in the midst of sign-and-trade discussions.
NEW: Pat Riley meets with Gabe Vincent in Southern California and encourages him to re-sign, but Heat offer clearly less than what Vincent would like, putting his return very much in doubt. And Strus likely gone; Heat holding sign and trade talks on him: https://t.co/ewtMdIM3Hg

Vincent and Strus, both 27 years old, played key roles as supplementary scoring options alongside Jimmy Butler in this year’s postseason — especially given the injury absence of star guard Tyler Herro. Together, they combined for 22.0 points per game on 40.2% shooting from the field in Miami’s playoff run.
Whether it be with the Heat or elsewhere, both Vincent and Strus likely played their way into some lucrative contracts as they head into the 2023-24 NBA season.
