If you’ve spent even one minute on Instagram lately, you’ll know that everyone’s ~raving~ about music festivals.
And if you – or any of your childhood friends – went through an ‘emo phase’, you’ll be painfully aware of the When We Were Young festival, which is a) taking place in Las Vegas, and b) very expensive. A tragedy, if you ask us.
Panic not: there are literally hundreds of music festivals kicking off in the UK in 2022. There’s something for everyone, whether you want to get your rocks off at Download festival in Leicestershire, or fancy something a little more laidback at Latitude festival in Suffolk.
This year also sees the return of Glastonbury, following two years away thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic. The full lineup has yet to be announced, but we do know that Billie Eilish will be one of the headliners, making her the youngest Glastonbury headline act, ever.

Wide Awake

What to expect: Wide Awake is an independent music festival, which takes place in Brockwell Park, London. With Bicep and Primal Scream headlinging, this one is perfect for fans of electronica and alternative Indie.
When is it? 27-28 May 2022.
Tickets: Friday tickets cost £44.50 (plus £4.45 booking fee) and Saturday tickets cost £39.50 (plus £3.95 booking fee). Weekend tickets start at £74.00.
BST Hyde Park

What to expect: Taking place across two weekends, BST Hyde Park features six incredible days of concerts, featuring legendary acts, such as, Elton John, Adele, Nile Rodgers & Chic, and Pearl Jam.
