The international break is drawing to a close, with the last fixtures of the Nations League Group Stage taking place.

This means that players will return from around the world for the resumption of the Premier League, which has been on a hiatus since September 19.

The international break has seen excitement build further ahead of the World Cup, which is now just a matter of weeks away.

Here are the all important international dates for your diary.

When does the international break end?

The current international break will end on Tuesday, September 27.

This is when the final matches of the Nations League Group Stage will take place.

Other international teams from around the world have been playing friendlies in preparation for the start of the World Cup, which will also be wrapped up by September 27.

The Premier League will return on Saturday, October 1, with the North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham the first game scheduled for 12.30pm.

The next international window will be on November 14, which is when players will be released to join up with their national teams ahead of the World Cup.

The World Cup will then start just under a week later on November 20 in Qatar, amidst much controversy.

This means that no more international fixtures will take place between September 27 and the start of the World Cup.

The Premier League will stop for six weeks whilst the competition takes place.

The World Cup final will be on December 18, with domestic football returning to action on Boxing Day.

Another international break will then take place in June 2023, which will feature European qualifiers and the Nations League finals.
