If you’re finding yourself begrudgingly curious about all things Matty Healy (a lot of said things…aren’t great!), you’re not alone. Like him or leave him, Taylor Swift appears to be very much smitten with this man—and while half the internet only recently learned of his existence, Matty is (and has been for more than a minute!) a very successful musician and frontman of The 1975. Like, verrrrrrrrry successful—to the point where his bank account is stacked at well over $10 million.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Matty Healy has a total net worth of $15 million, and clearly the time has come to dig in and figure out how he made all this money, ’cause wow.

What We Know About The 1975’s $$$$

Matty formed The 1975 when he was a teenager, but the band (which also includes Adam Hann, Ross MacDonald, and George Daniel) didn’t reach major success until years later. We can probably assume The 1975 didn’t start making significant money from their music until ~2012 (when they blew up), so….it stands to reason that Matty made his entire $15 million net worth over the span of just 11 years. The 1975 has had a lot of chart toppers (especially in the U.K.) and brings in serious money touring (which Matty confirmed they split equally between the band members).

Matty actually revealed to the The New York Times the band was once “offered a four-month tour next year of stadiums with the biggest singer-songwriter in the world that would have made me money that I’ve never even seen or heard of in [his] life.”

He also noted: “Think about the money you think I’m getting offered–it’s not just offered, it’s what he can afford because of what he makes for shows–and then just triple it. It’s insane.”

While The 1975 turned down the opportunity to tour with said singer-songwriter (it was Ed Sheeran, lol), there are also unverified claims floating around Reddit that it costs over $500,000 to book them privately—just solo! Again, unverified, but this does shed some light on the band’s potential earnings.

What We Know About Matty’s Family Wealth

Matty is technically a nepo baby: His dad is actor Tim Healy, while his mom is actor and TV presenter Denise Welch. But honestly, it seems like Matty is pretty much self-made when it comes to his finances considering Celebrity Net Worth puts his mom’s personal wealth at “just” (emphasis on those quotes) $2 million.
